USS Nimitaz (CVN-68) making a tight turn during sea trials
"Fuck Saddam" probably had too many letters. Photos like these are usually fake. Commanders of aircraft carriers tend to be a little more politically correct.
Nobody likes to fly on a night like this
There is a Navy "urban legend" that might relate to this picture. It goes something like... A chief petty officer was attempting to transport an antique car back to the US from the Phillipines in the hangar deck of the carrier. When it was discovered, the CO gave him the choice of catapulting it into the sea or facing charges.
